I used the meguiars kit last year on my saab 9-5 and it did a good job, but the hand sanding really didn't do enough to give an even finish. The drill pad in this kit is exactly what you need to do an incredible job. Really easy to use and gives amazing results. You will need to buy and use a sealant afterwards to protect the exposed plastic.

A great product. From cloudy to clear in an hour or so.

Give it a go, works well!

follow the instructions and take extra time. it says moisten the 3000 grit as the final stage of abrasion. i used a mister throughout with all grit stages and found this worked much better; smoother, less heat, and the 'cream' produced from the process speeds things up. much like in knife sharpening.

Brilliant - done the job on my headlights

I have a Renault Laguna and the headlight had really discoloured and gone cloudy. Just spent 2 hours cleaning them up, they’re not perfect but 99% better as you will see in the before and after photo. Next time I won’t be letting them get that bad!! I only used a Tesco cheap drill but it certainly done the job

Just the trick, well worth the money for a premium item.

I bought this because my 2004 MK5 Golf 2.0 lights looked so bad and foggy and considered at one point about just getting new lights.

It works brilliantly.

I love it so much, I tried nail varnish remover, i tried sanding it with a bit of sand paper with disastrous results.

WOW what a difference! Concerned headlights on 12yr old Vauxhall Astra would fail MOT due to being very cloudy. Having looked around online reviews suggested this would get the best results. I was not disappointed, they are now so clear, passed MOT with ease, even mechanic remarked on job well done. It really is not difficult to do took two of us approx 1hr max. Followed how to video on Halfords but sprayed water throughout sanding process as recommended by previous reviewer. Preparation is key, masked off around lights thoroughly and covered engine with old sheet to avoid splashes. Should have covered bumper too but just jet washed later. You will need two charged batteries if using a cordless drill but we found that a corded detailed sander allows better control than a corded drill. You will need a drill for polishing. Finished off with some Glass Polish 50ml Surface Sealant (also available via Amazon) for protection. Delearships quote over £300 for new headlights!

Great kit. Advised to use a powerful drill corded is best as you don't have to worry about the battery going. For me I kept the disks wet at all times which resulted in me needing less disks for both of my headlights. I only used two of each of the sanding disks. Great finish. I'll post the photos of before and after. Much better than toothpaste yes I tried that.

Have a 14 year old Passat that looks and drives very well. Although the bodywork is good, the garage said at the last MOT that the headlights lenses were cloudy and it may fail next time. So after some researching, decided to buy the Autoglym Kit. Arrived promptly and after reading the instructions, attached the abrasive discs to my drill and started carefully moving the drill up and down and sideways across the lenses.
