Perfect sat nav for a coach driver it has never let me down and for the types of vehicles I drive I can put in all the heights length width and weights in also the top speed of vehicle and it is very accurate with time!!!

Great truck satnav

Great truck satnav. Took a while to set it up out of the box. It needed updating straight away and with my dire internet speed this took nearly an hour. I also set myself aside some time to have a proper play with it and go through all the settings. Very user friendly device, I've never used a tomtom before but found my way around it with ease.

The future of Navigation

I like the size, also although it sounds expensive, it has lifetime services. Cameras update savings alone are worth it, it will fit on the dash of the car and on the dash of the Coach with equal ease.

Tom Tom trucker 6000 review.

Been using for two weeks now. On clarity fine. On occasions has not rerouted quick enough.., three minutes was worst trying to route through Bewdley. On islands map itself ok but direction hint for island is confusing, does not even put hint what exit.. I. e. 3rd exit as cheaper I go systems do. Quickest route works pretty well avoiding congested roads where possible due to really good tom tom services. Free at moment but will seriously consider paying for service when free trail runs out. So far has not tried to take me under bridges I couldn't get under and as long as you use fastest route option will avoid all single track roads where possible. Mounting system is best I've ever used.

This is the first sat nav I've ever purchased. I've always been happy using maps in the past but with my new job I really needed a HGV sat nav. I had a good look around and asked some of my mates who all use sat navs. This is a bit pricey but well worth it. I still double check the route it gives me on my bridge map, for my piece of mind, but it has not sent me anywhere I shouldn't be going yet. If anything it can be a bit over strict in the routes it chooses i.e. It will tell you that you that you cant use certain roads within the London Lorry Ban even when you are outside of the ban hours. Overall I'm very happy with this product and have recommended it to several work colleagues.

Good but could be better

I have been using this for the past two weeks. The display and instructions are clear and easy to use. The instructions for setting it up aren't clear. I initially had it set for the fastest and it was always directing me to motorways, and seemed to increase the mileage significantly which in a truck can use a lot of fuel. Having played with the settings I think I have managed to overcome this problem. The live update is good and the route information lets you know about delays and how long you are likely to be delayed. I haven't tried any other sat nav solely designed for trucks so can't say how it compares to the others on the market. I can only say it is a good bit of kit but could be better hence the 4 stars

I always work double manned so I have tried every HFCs sat nav out their, this is by far the best and everyone I work with always chooses mine over their own, their are some bad reviews but they have not got it set up right so ignore them, maps are so clear and easy to understand that you don't need have the sound on and speed cameras loud and clear and the traffic is a god send
